Pekanbaru Great Mosque


Vacation Star | Pekanbaru Great Mosque | Pekanbaru Great Mosque was built in the 18th century. Pekanbaru Great Mosque is the oldest mosque in Pekanbaru.


Pekanbaru Great Mosque is located in Senapelan district and it has a very attractive traditional architecture. This mosque was also proof of Siak Sri Indrapura Kingdom that ever reigned in Pekanbaru, namely at the Sultan Abdul Jalil Alamuddin Shah Alamuddin (Sultan of Siak-4) and sultan Muhammad Ali Abdul Jalil Muazzam Shah (Sultan of Siak-5). 

 

In Pekanbaru Great Mosque there is the tomb of Sultan Marhum Bukit and Marhum Pekan. Marhum Bukit is another name of the Sultan Abdul Jalil Alamuddin Shah (Sultan Siak-4) who ruled in 1766-1780.
