Burning Barge



Vacation Star | Burning Barge | Burning Barge or called Go Ge Cap Lak held every 15-16 months 5 Chinese calendar is as an act of gratitude Tiong Hoa Peopla to the Ki Ong Ya God and Taisun Ong Ya God, who is believed to have given safety to the Tiong Hoa People in Bagan Siapi-api. The ceremony is also a symbol of Tiong Hoa people determination to make the area discovered as a new homeland.

 
 
Implementation of Burning Barge Ceremony distinctive ethnic Bagan Siapi-api has been a tradition since 1820, almost exactly two centuries ago. The event is centered on the In Hok Kiong Pagoda and barges burned in front of the Old Sing Yan Pagoda, Perniagaan street, Bagan Siapi-api. 

 

This prayer ceremony begins with procession Burning Barge or a boat made of paper and beautifully decorated with a few pieces of paper sculpture of the Taisun Ong Ya. 


In addition it also burned thousands Hio rods in different sizes and both sizes are gigantic. The participants not only Burning Barge from Bagan Siapi-api but also from other cities, both from within and outside the country. 


The event was interspersed with entertainment such as the Barongsai and the Traditional Arts Entertainment other breeds.
