Tikus Island

 

Vacation Star | Tikus Island | Tikus Island are small coral islands, located to the west of the city of Bengkulu. In ancient times this island is where the ships anchored for shelter from the storm waves of the ocean Ocean Indonesia. The size of the island is about 60 x 100 meters and here too there is a lighthouse tower.

Around these islands there are rocks which are inhabited by various species of fish and marine tourism potential as the activity of fishing, diving, and snorking. To reach this island can be reached using a fishing boat about 30 minutes from the old harbor of Bengkulu (Tapak Paderi Beach)


Potential fauna in this region there are reefs and marine ecosystems, coral species that exist in the region that is acroporase, poriter, fungia, pociIIopora, Montipora, sarcophiton.


For this type of wildlife and marine life, including fish, corals, crabs and shrimp, along the coast of the island of white sand beaches there are mice which at night becomes the location of hawksbill turtle (eretmocheIys imbricata) and green turtle (cheloma mydas) went ashore to spawn.


There are several types of birds can be seen in the area of the black stork (egresa sacra), sea pigeons (duluca bicolor), Kwak bird thief (nytcicuray sp) and birds pecuk rice (polocrocoray sulsinostris). While the growth of the dominant flora nyampiung (caiophylum inophylum), hibiscus, ketapang (Terminalia cetapa), coconut (Cocos nucifera Sp) and others.
